I have set up alert rules to email/sms me upon an agent infection; however I do not receive a message when this happens.
Please ensure that you have correctly entered the telephone number international format eg. +441332557777, also only one email address can be entered into the email recipient field. This configuration is with the Alert Rules under Server Config.
I have installed a number of agents across my network but when they scan I do not see them in the server console?
Please ensure the following:
- The agents have correctly configured the incoming and outgoing folder upon the installer properties.
- The users have read/write access to the server share folders "Incoming" and "Outgoing".
- The server console is online.
When I start my computer/CSI-E a message appears saying "Unable to access Prevx Website to determine URL configuration..." what does it mean?
There is normally a delay in making network connectivity on the start up of a machine, especially if wireless is used. This is also a symptom of not having the following:
- CSI-E.ui.exe is not allowed through your firewall.
- Proxy configurations have not been set.
- There is a problem contacting the internet due to a network error (troubleshoot by trying to launch the Prevx webpage).
- The Prevx Server may be temporarily offline (please contact support).
An agent is showing as infected in the CSI-E server console, what should I do?
In the event of an infection the administrator can dictate exactly what they wish to do in the scenario. To configure the remediation policies please refer to "Remediation" in the Operators Guide.
During the QuickSetup I receive a permissions issue when creating/testing the shares, what does this mean?
If you have strict group policies or are using UAC on Windows Vista, Windows does not allow any program or user to set share permissions. Please lower the policies to allow the share permissions to be set by the QuickSetup/user.
