INSTALLATION

After Prevx 2.0 files have been installed, two procedures automatically take place - activation and Fast Scan.

When these have been successfully completed, you will be fully protected by Prevx 2.0.

Activation

Activation means using a fully licensed version. You must activate Prevx 2.0 before you can start using it.

Product Activation

This is activated by typing in your license key. The license key is a purchased item and allows you full access to Prevx 2.0 Detection and also Cleanup.

Fast Scan

When Prevx 2.0 starts for the first time, it needs to examine the files on your computer to find out if there is any known malware present.

Within 60 seconds of restarting your computer, the Fast Scan starts. This is a one-time only scan that identifies key areas of your system. It has been optimized so that the scanning is completed, and you are protected, as soon as possible.

Note: You shouldn't try to access any Prevx 2.0 functions until the scan has started and preferably you should wait until it finishes.

After the local database has been created, your files are verified against those in the Prevx Central Database. This will check to see if the files are known to be good or bad.

Verification does require a working internet connection.
